Surf Report

We took a place a thousand yards from the shore.

Rain lashes every inch of land between us and the sea. The storm rolled in overnight and promises to last all day.

Outside temps appear mild but the steady wind hits 34 mph, 100% onshore. The high swell is all chop.

Did I mention water temps in the mid-fifties?

These factors all contribute to a low and diminishing will to push out and paddle. There will be no board wax today.

The wind shifts somewhat this afternoon but the rain will persist and water temps are water temps. I see coffee, Christmas lights, and board games in our future. A museum or two, if we can wade to the car.

A few thousand feet from the sea.
