Today and Yesterday

Good day today doing all the things.

I marked up my journal and did my obligatory transcription.

Got a run in on Westmoreland, the hilly run when I want a challenge.

Took a long drive with my youngest, building up stamina for when he’ll drive on his own later this year. We navigated some tricky turns.

Breakfast. Made a peach and tomato salad for lunch. Made quesadillas for dinner, with roasted vegetables.

Napped.

I read for pleasure and read for pain, proofreading for my editorial position and as a grateful reviewer of other people’s work.

Did some work in the garage on my bike to make it muddable in the rainy afternoons to come.

After cleaning the kitchen and installing some toilet seats I did the loathsome weekly ironing of clothes and getting ready for the workweek ahead.

Yesterday was even better. Bar Mitzvah, a first. Lunch with good friends and new friends. Walked to dinner right here in town, won at Rummy while waiting for my grilled sausage.

Good Will Hunting.

August. Summer. Terribly humid but this beats the cold of January.

Today. Yesterday.
